They say you can substitute vigorous aerobic activity at half the time, so one minute of vigorous exercise is equivalent to two minutes of moderate exercise.
One of the most underrated kinds of exercise is simply walking. Going for a long hike on your day off or walking the kids to the park in the afternoon can easily help you hit your exercise goals for the week. It also will provide you with an opportunity to get outside into the fresh air and sunlight, which is proven to improve your mental health.
Taking a fitness class is also an alternative. Something like yoga that focuses on mindfulness and fitness can allow you to manage your stress and engage your body in moderate activity.

It provides an outlet for the negative thoughts and replaces the negative with something positive, working on your writing skills.
You don’t have to journal specifically, but as long as your coping mechanism includes those three elements, you’ll feel lighter than ever.
